Meet Bobble

In an attempted to be more green, we have decided by unanimous vote that we will no longer be purchasing water bottles at my house. This will save at least 48 plastic bottles per week from going into our recycling bin. Above is my old friend Bobble. I purchased him over a year ago and he has been sitting in the cabinet pretty much ever since. At that time I was attempting to be more health conscious by drinking more water- which I failed at from a lack of commitment.  I have since then switched to just water & decaffeinated coffee (with the occasional Diet Rite- sweetened with Splenda or unsweetened ice tea).
The reason I really like Bobble is he has his own built in filter, which means you can stick regular old tap water in there and it will come out clean on the other end =). One filter (the red piece in the picture) is equivalent to 300 16 oz water bottles. When broken down- that will save me $45 ($4.00 for a case of 24 bottles = $.16 per bottle x 300 = $50 - $5 (cost of each filter) = $45 in savings)! It pays for itselfs =)

At home I'll be using my Brita water pitcher, but Bobble will be awesome for on the go- which is what we used the water bottles for. I love that I have a new companion and you can bet that he'll be joining me for my race!!

I found my Bobble at Target, but bellow is the link for the bobble website!
